hello, The Pita Pocket; hello, me. it has been a while, hasn't it? well, life gets in the way. i'm in the lab right now. it's the week before christmas and things are slow. i'm listening to "bad sneakers" by steely dan. i heard it a couple weeks ago while bowling with my brother and some of his friends who were visiting from out of town. it prompted me to make a playlist of steely dan songs i hear out and about. so far only two entries, the other being green earrings which i heard on the radio. i'll keep you all posted on this projects. anyway i'm checking in because some friends of mine mentioned my website last night at a little community carol sing. today will be a short entry, i am still brainstorming some fun projects for the pita pocket. but in the meantime i will share a story and photo right now. this past weekend i visited some friends in NYC. the trip started with a ride to the big apple with my friend will who was lugging a new truck across the country. we met up with some friends when we arrived and soaked in the turkish and russian baths in the east village for the day. it was really really cool in there. did a little murder mystery party in the evening and when i woke up on sunday it had snowed!! some friends and i got some bagels and walked around central park in the snow, it was beautiful, see photo below. i took the bus home and had a good nap. snowy winter day naps on a warm bus full of strangers hit different.
